Introduction to the four defining ingredients of the traditional cocktail and fundamental flavors according to BarChef. Beginning with the spirit base as the “canvas” and the benefits of incorporating infusions for increased complexity, bitters for spice tones, and accent liqueurs and syrups for viscosity and length. The emphasis of this seminar will be placed on the elements of cocktail composition and achieving complexity and balance. The tasting will challenge people’s perceptions of flavour and aroma.
