Why Team Training and Team Culture Go Hand in Hand

Bartending has experienced a paradigm shift, morphing from the industry you worked in before getting a “real job” to a covetable profession with its own cachet. That said, the industry still has the same training and skills advancement that we did a decade ago. In this session, Kelsey Ramage and Iain Griffiths (the alchemists behind many beverage programs around the world, and the co-owners of Toronto’s Supernova Ballroom) discuss the importance of scheduled and monitored in-house training programs, and why these programs should involve more than just spec practice and spirit education in order to truly develop a workplace culture.

About The Toplack Sessions

Every Tuesday starting in the fall and running through late spring, Dr. Andrew Toplack brings The Toplack Sessions to the Drake Hotel to educate bartenders, industry professionals and cocktail enthusiasts on important educational issues. The Toplack sessions are curated and run by Andrew Toplack, Gord Hannah and Jonathan Humphrey

The Toplack sessions feature talks by mostly local, but also national and international beverage experts. This special edition of The Toplack Sessions @ Toronto Cocktail Week features six seminars over two days.
